In light of recent events, our particular brand of humor suddenly wasn't so humorous anymore.

Therefore, the whole point of the site being laid waste to, in one fell swoop,

I decided we'd had all the fun at someone else's expense that we needed to.

Something we thought was harmless fun and flattery, was actually someone else's utter torture.

I swear I really didn't know how wrong I was, and wish I didn't have to now.

I've been humbled ...again. Ouch.

And for the record, closing this site does not equate to withdrawing my support for a treasure of a human being

Whose very existence I've cherished for close to twenty years, no how, no way.

Quite the opposite. My thoughts lean more toward a show of support than lack of it, with my actions.

Ask me who my favorite famous person is, and I'll answer just like I always did, without hesitation.

Furthermore, my heart and my prayers go out to everyone involved in these troublesome times,

And my most fervent wishes for a satisfactory outcome are being sent psychically, as I speak.

Nevertheless, it seemed the only right thing to do, all things considered,

was to close up shop and call it a day.

Tis done, and I offer any apologies necessary to anyone who feels a need for them.

No harm was ever intended.

In spite of that unpleasantness, I want to thank everyone who expressed their love of the site over the years,

Both publicly and privately.

And to my trusty staff, who always stood behind me, when things got rough for us,

My most heartfelt thanks for keeping me inspired and watching my back, when it needed watching.

My sincerest thanks to everyone for many silly fun years, for sure.

'S'been a blast, but all good things must come to an end,

and for us, August 27th, 2008, almost six years beyond inception, was the rightful end.

It was fun while it lasted, though, wasn't it?

Hope you all thought so, because until very recently, I certainly did.

Funny how naïve I can be. Oh wait ...not funny, but you know ...
